Anyone else still bet on this. As for me, i'm finished with it after the Chievo-Bologna game a few weeks back

    Take today for example

    Bologna 4/1, Draw 1/3, Parma 6/1. Full time 0-0.

Had Palermo a few weeks back as well and they were 2 up in injury time against 8 men and ending up drawing 2-2

What I do know is that all Italian divisions from the Serie A down, are corrupt.
Match fixing is huge in Italy, as we have known down through the years but it's still sad to see it happening at the highest levels.

The odds for a draw were 1/3 before the match?I have never seen the odds that short on a draw before.

i don't think its corruption , its the italian mentality which they have sometimes to play for draws, 1 point each and everyone will go home happy if you know what i mean

1 point to those teams close to the bottom is worth a lot ,so you can understand that sort of tactic

i am not surprised by also napoli not bothering to play anymore with cavani gettin a red card, since they know they wont do better than the third spot

The fixed games are widely touted beforehand on the net. The thing is you don't know whether it's just a rumor or if it's true. At the hint of a rumor i'm sure the bookies would react so the 1/3 price for the draw isn't really any proof that it's true.

The thing i don't get is how they fix them? 22 players starting on the pitch with a possibility of 6 more being introduced. A referee and 2 linesmen and 2 managers and countless coaches etc. How do they go about fixing a draw? Is everyone in on it?

while i agree that fixing was and is a problem in italian football , i dont think most draws are due to fixing, again more like a mentality thing
if you look at the stats of bologna and parma for example, they have the highest amount of draws in the whole serie a excluding chievo and fiorentina with one extra draw
simple maths would tell me that if the 2 meet, looking at their position at the table, the chances of another draw would be very high hence the low odds.

when it comes to the fixing scandals , i remember particular players were targeted rather than the whole team whose action could impact the results, like goalkeepers for example

Italian Football is $hit, its as corrupt as a seedy nite out on silom road.

Italian clubs are crap, end of. The times of Juventus and the milans actualling winning anything or note (apart from corrupt said league titles) are history.

Attendances are $hit also, Leeds probably have bigger crowds than juve these days.

Fat Mafia Ba$tards were smoking 1 foot cubans watching the Inter game tonight.

    corrupt as f***

all Italian leagues should be banned for a few seasons, might cop them on a bit.

has anyone noticed how (relatively) $hit AC Milan are as a team but how they strolled to the title with aplomb.

its no coincidence that they are owned by the most corrupt f**k of a pm in the galaxy, Silvio Berlusconi .

He was probably getting sucked off by 16 15 year olds during the entire campaign from his presidential suite., he also probably paid 1million euro to each team in the league to go easy on Milan!

    FC Porto would welly them.

That equally useless herr blatter should get on the case.

what a joke of a league.

2 months ago people were tipping Sampdoria to get relegated even though they were 6th from bottom. Their last five games went L-W-D-L-L , the win being over already relegated Bari. These people said that Sampdoria didn't have any agreements with other clubs and as such were doomed. The only thing surprising me from the last 5 weeks is that there haven't been as many draws as usual. I did see that Boylesports have only offered odds on between 4 and 6 games each week, of the 10 scheduled, which makes you wonder what their opinion is of the other ties they won't price up!
The only way to make money would be to back the draw when one team is ahead. Or 2 ahead as mentioned above. I'd like to know how big the draw went in that match!
This was a pre-match write up of that 2-2 draw with the draw @6-4 before kick-off. "Welcome to the world of Italian football. I have heard that this is another game that has been fixed. This information may be untrue, however it does share some typical properties of a fixed match. Cesena are in need of points as they are in danger of being relegated. Palermo's season is over as they have nothing to fight for. They can freely fall lower in the league table without any consequences. " He tipped the draw !

Udinese V Milan this week draw 8/13. I'd put the life savings on it (if I had any). The whole Italian football league's a joke.

just put your lolly on every game on all the leagues to be a draw.

Yeh, why are milan 7-1 to win . . Is it rigged for some reason ?

Milan have nothing to play for, a point for Udinese see's them almost certainly in CL qualifiers. A point suits.

    OR

The match is fixed and the draw is already a certainty, big money has come in for the draw and the bookies have shortened the odds to ensure they don't get stung.

Mentioned this site before, it has been talking about potential fixes/agreed results rather than brushing them under the carpet during the season run-in:

0-0 with a missed peno. Million percent eh? I'm happy anyways 20 on at 11/10. Next season will be interesting, will be looking out for any short odds draws in the Italian league and lumping on.

least they are making some progress, 18 games...

I would say its more like 80 across all the leagues.

why would they just settle for 18 games, they obviously thought they were untouchable.

I would love if all the teams involved were demoted to seria C, lets see how they like playing in front of 400 people.

Serie C would be better than serie A if all the guilty teams were demoted:P
