I wanted to book flights today for myself & future wife. Her name will be different then & maybe Passport number etc. What do airline do about this? My future wife is Polish & they take documents back when she will change her name.

Can I book & change for free later? Would marriage cert do with new documents? Do I book with maiden name now or Future married name? I am sure some one has had same issue. Come on boards. Last 2 flights at this price :)

    Regards & Thanks you

Double check with the airline if this is acceptable, but you can get observations on your new passport showing your previous passport name and number.

Maybe I am too late, and you have already booked your flights.

Under Irish law, there is no requirement that a woman take her husband's name when she marries or, if she decides to, there is no rule that says she has to do so immediately on marriage.

There is nothing to stop her using her current name for the purpose of the flight booking, and then travelling with her current passport. She can apply for a new passport using her married name at a time when it does not complicate things.

[Good luck with your marriage plans, and the years after.]
