Well I dont even get Sky sports in my gaf , but in general I find PPV prices off the wall .
If you think about it ..... Any PPV event should cost equal to or less than the price of a cinema ticket .
Curious to know if I'm just a stingy git or do others feel the same ?

I feel the same about it. Perhaps for a one off superfight it maybe worth shelling out for, but most pay per views are not worth it in my opinion

I'm already paying 30euro a month for Sly Sports, i'm paying enough in this day and age god-dammit!
Isn't it something like 50dollars for PPV in America?

I hit worth every penny off my phone by mistake!!
its a rip off in fairness, i dont mind paying ppv for Mayweather v Pacman but even then it should be 20 euro max...

    The prices are shocking.

The main problem is lack of quality about. We are still paying the same prices for crap atm apart from maybe a few instances.

I stopped paying myself unless its something i really feel will be worth it.

I'd never get a PPV to watch a fight on my own. If I was going to do it I'd arrange to get a heap of friends around and try make a night of it. But for me to watch a fight on my own it's no way near value for money.

it's a rip off.The **** fights sky put on ppv is a joke ,a proper superfight would be different but the likes of de gale V groves is pulling the piss.My local always gets the fights in so I watch them there.

Yeah I'm the same as djkeogh. Get the lads over plenty of beer and watch the fights.
The last fight I got in was Froch Kessler in the super six which ended up being a cracker

It is a bit steep, but compared to what the Americans have to pay, we still get a pretty good deal. And atleast they PPV events are quite rare on Sky + you get loads of bouts on Sky sports

Do the Yanks have to pay a subscription for the likes of HBO and then pay for PPV on top of that?
We already pay about 30euro a month for Sky sports so there would be no way i'd pay 50 for a PPV like they do.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure HBO and Showtime are both expensive premium channels.

"The event is priced at £14.95 for UK customers, €21.95 for customers in the Republic of Ireland".

Joke shop thats £19.10 for us Irish fools as they see us to get the same product, a rise of £4. I was going to get this fight especially as there seems to be a good supporting bout but now ill just get whatever best free live web stream is going on the night.

I can remember before Tyson fought Holyfield the 1st time the PPV was sold round by round. So if it was a 1st or 2nd round knockout you'd only pay for those rounds. Obviously if it went the full 12 you'd pay for it all.

(BTW, Holyfield was lucky the Tyson who ko'd Spinks in 1 round didn't step into the ring that night)

Holy's cast iron chin would have held up regardless IMO. Tyson actually showed a lot of heart to hang in there for as long as he did

Thats interesting about the pay per round !

There would be a lot of people calling foul I would imagine , should fights end up going the distance all the time .
The boxers , teams , and promoters would have vested interests since they would be the beneficeries of the PPV .

A first round KO would only be shooting themselves in the foot .
