    is there a way of sorting colums of numbers (10+ digits) in excel by their least significant digits, (or by the four least significant digits, actually) say

    52477596923
    47845483875
    75488548548
    45375769595

    would be sorted as

    47845483875
    52477596923
    75488548548
    45375769595

    thanks,

    You could copy and then reverse the digits in another column and then sort by that new column? A quick google brings up :

    B1=TRUNC(A1/10) + MOD(A1,10)*10

    You could possibly split the number into 2 cells and combine them in a formula if you need the whole item.

    Assuming your data is in Column A starting in A1 and Column B is available: Do a formula in B1 next to data and enter "=RIGHT(A1,4)". Then copy down the column. The formula is available in the fx paste function. Then highlight both columns and sort by Column B?
