    Looking for some good ideas for cycling routes..Beginner level really but challenging enough!Anyone got any ideas?

    Where bouts you looking to ride OP, am assuming from your location around Dublin.

    Done it last year on the ski bus, done it a day later in a taxi when I ended up at the wrong lift station and missed the last lift.

    Its a nice hill. Will bring the bike next time.

    Out from town through Clontarf and out the coast. Cycle path away from the road most of the way out. Continue on to Sutton and turn right at Sutton Cross to go up the hill of Howth the easy way.
    You should have the wind behind you on your way back.

    Rather than resurrect various zombie threads just to ask how long certain rides are, can I suggest you try something like www.mapmyride.com, where you can search for local rides or plot your own - you can then see distance and the ride profile
