Sorry mods if this is in the wromg spot.

I renewed my full driving license last October and it shows that im licensed to drive cars and also farm machinery (well the tractor symbol) i think but lo and behold it also appears that they licensed me for motorbikes, i have never been on a bike in my life, is this automatically added to holders of car licences?

    Thanks

It depends on when you got your license but before 2008ish a full license would have given you an M category on your license which would entitled you to drive a moped. But since you renewed your license i presume you've had it for much longer. Which category do you have? M? A1? A?, if it's A1 or A its a mistake.

I know it's obvious, but as someone who has driven both, get a few bike lessons if you're considering driving one. I was surprised how different the driving experience is in a car as compared to a bike.

Its class M for Mopeds, dont worry i have no intention of taking to the roads in my leathers! Just think its crazy that the government thinks me qualified without a test!
