    im doing a selfbuild,ive been told by friends that its worth it to set up a company because i can claim back my vat and wont pay any tax ,because i will do a lot of the work myself,any one done this? is it worth it?

    There are already certain tax allowances on your building, VAT materials, Capital tax and so on but I'm sure you're already familiar with them. I'm not sure there are any benefits to setting up a company unless you plan to do build and sell more than once. It's worth invesitgation though.
