This is a very simple way of looking at it,but will be very very effective ,if you buy USD now you will definatly make money, fill yer boots.
There are not many guaranteed winners in the investment world, this is as close as your going to get,if you've time on your side.

If i'd a spare hundread grand ,i wouldn't blink an eye at buying $145,000 with it.

Does that mean the euro will be useless, hence all money will be useless even the Dollars or Euro.

well let me put it this way , last december when the euro was worth 1 . 29 dollars , many experts were predicting that the euro would not see the end of 2011 , less than six months later and the euro has gained almost 15% against the dollar despite all the fears over spain , portugal , greece and ireland , i myself lost around 4 k by betting on the dollar against the euro last november , i went in at 1.29 and got out at 1. 34 in late january

if your uneasy about the euro , you might be better buying the much less volatile canadian or australian dollar , although i bought the canadian dollar at the end of march and im down quite a bit on that too , the euro has been unstopable this past five months

When QE3 kicks in (they have no choice really) the dollar will continue to decline in value.

Some good replies here guys...The post office exchanges euro's to Dollars I see, which would be handy for a man, who isn't in the market.

If I went ahead with my plan, I would have 1,450 dollars for my 1000 euro's. If I wait I could have more etc

How much woild the euro have to rally in order for me to make 1,450 euro's??

If your eager to get on the currency ladder,i would suggest sterling instead of the dollar,or swiss francs

got into silver last year when it was 15 euro , when it got to 30 euro a fortnight ago , i rang goldcore with the intention of telling them to sell it , i couldnt get through and got snowed under with other things and took my eye off the ball , next thing i knew its at under 25 euro , was intending to sell on friday at 24 but then i noticed it was back up slightly in euro , silver like gold is priced in dollars and if thier is to be a slight correction in the euro , silver could bounce back a bit off the back of a rise in the dollar against the euro , that said , the people at goldcore told me privatley that they believe silver has another bit to drop before the next rally

Bob, if you can get your hands on it, I'll buy the silver off you for a reasonable price if you're looking to sell beforeit goes down any more.

PM me and we can arrange something.

my silver is with the perth mint ( certificate form ) and besides , im holding off for a few days at least , silver is back up again today in both euro and dollar , the news on greece may have turned attention back to the merits of silver

This is working out quite well,:D:D:D,but it mightn't be a bad plan for more boot filling in the next day or two;).

One day (over a weekend) the world will wake up to the fact that the US of A will never ever be able to legitimately repay its trillions of debts.

On that day confidence in the USD will drop like a Guinness poo from the arse of a culshie farmer, and there will be major scrambling to convert USD to real things.

I for one cannot wait for that day, as I have a lot of contempt for the US government!

True, but how many euro countries can hope to repay their debts.
Those running the EU circus are every bit as miserable as those in USA. As for the USD and real things, the Euro isn't any more real is it?
