bringing a tent in handluggage on ryanair

Does anyone know if you can bring a tent (without pegs) with fold-up poles in the handluggage on a ryanair flight? Anyone from the airport personnel perhaps?
I found pop up tents but they are all too big 60 cm diameter folded.
It is for one person, so a one or 2 pers. pop up should do but they do not fit the bag. Has anyone seen one in Dublin or online that will fit handluggage? I It might bend it a bit to fit 40 by 50 cm? Anyone got experience with that?

If it fits within Ryanair's dimensions, then yes. Just remember that everything you want to take in your hand luggage must be under 10kg and all contained in one bag.

so the poles are not regarded as weapons of 'mousse' distruction.
