I'm an iPhone user ("BOOOOOOO!!!!!!":D) but I have to customise my brother HTC Wildfire and I was wondering how to do it? I've looked around and it's pretty clear it's nothing like jailbreaking, its more flashing roms etc, which I've never done.

    Here's some info:
    BUZZ PVT SHIP S-ON
    HBOOT-1.01.0001
    MICROP-0622
    TOUCH PANEL-ATMELC03_14ac
    RADIO-3.35.20.10

What rom would you reccomend, could you recommend a guide or just tell me what to do. I don't really know what I want to do with it yet, but I want everything unlocked for me to be able to mess with it, ie, have nothing restricted.

best place to start would be xda, specifically :

never get why people assume an interstellar war was launched between users of one phone or another

Was looking at that but it was sort of "OMG unplug the bastard!", way too much going on :D

To install a custom ROM on the Wildfire with hboot-1.01.xxx you need to hardware unlock with an XTC Clip.

Why do you want to install a custom ROM? Android is not like the iphone, you don't actually need to jailbreak it. You can customise a hell of a lot of stuff without installing custom rom. If you want to pirate apps you are going to be in for a surprise since the new security was added :)

To completely change the UI just install a different launcher. Try LauncherPro, or ADWLauncher. Note that you will lose HTC Sense features here tho. Pretty much everything is "unlocked" anyway, so don't waste your time.

I just need to unlock (SIM) my HTC Wildfire. How can I do that?

There isn't a software only solution at the moment. You either need an unlock code from HTCimeiUnlock.com or a hardware unlock
