Should have gone into college a bit more (a lot more lol) and the exam results will prob show this but at least I'll learn for next year!! it was so hard deciding last year where to go and what to do, but overall i'm so happy i chose nuig and can't wait for 2nd year!!:)

In my experience you did the right thing by enjoying first year. I've just finished now with my final exam in a couple of days. My biggest regret is taking first year too seriously! I can't believe I actually thought it mattered! You only get busier from there (providing you're doing a real degree :-P ).

I've also never had the chance to spend the summer in Galway, though I have been to a couple of other great places. If I can somehow get a job/money I'll be around this summer and I'm really looking forward to it.

Wont be the same going back in September though if I'm still hanging around since a lot of people I started with are leaving this year. Every year is different, dont leave regretting anything. You can always repeat your exams, you cant go back in time.

I am very glad I picked Galway over my other options of Maynooth and Trinity. Having met some people from UCC and UL, I think I could have had fun there too, but they all say Galway is where it's at.
