No power on Car stereo

    The car is a 99 CRV.

    Radio died over a month ago,prior to this it would not power up at all on occasion and then an hour in to a journey it would come on!
    I always thought it was the Blaupunkt head unit as it is getting old but i had my head unit out of our second Honda and it's a Pioneer but the plug harness was the same so i plug the Blaupunkt in and it powered up fine.
    So the headunit is good the harness and fuse is good were could the possible problem be?

    The clock has worked on the dash maybe twice in a year too :pac:
    The buzzer when exiting the car with lights left on also gave up last week,though this and the clock i could live without!

    I have checked all the fuses on the dash under the wheel and all seem fine too.

    Any one know a handyman near Naas/Newbridge might give it a go?
    Or the car will be in Ennis Co Clare from early next week.
    Problem also is the mother in law is taking ownership of the car tomorrow,typical,she will think i done it on purpose :eek:;).

    Sounds to be like a bad connection, or cracked/broken wire. Now where you would start looking for the wire or connection, I don't know :pac:

    ^^It works in the second car fine when i swapped it over and i tried my pioneer unit in the CRV with my harness plugs etc and nothing.

    So both work fine but only in the second car.

    Sounds like it could be a cracked wire,needle in a haystack then or an hour with hands bent under the dash :(.
