My niece went to Ennis for the week yesterday and foolishly forgot some important notes for her up coming TCD exam. Is there any sort of a service that could bring them down by this evening from Dublin? They could be collected by my brother either in Limerick or Ennis.

CIE used to take packages that could be collected at a train station not sure if they still do.
Other options are, fax or scan and email.

There would be a lot of faxing and scanning. A4 folder.

CIE/IE/BUS EIREANN used to carry packages/envelopes etc but no longer - not even their own internal mail. Much better to run empty trains and buses.

You'll just have to go to the bus station and find someone else to take them up, I'm sure any student would do it for a flagging of cider.

Sorted, managed to source the bulk of the stuff on line from friends and have the rest scanned.

You should have went to Busaras and ask the inspector there if the next Limerick bus could bring the items and the niece could be waiting for the bus or collect from the little Bus Eireann hut in Limerick station

I thought of that but wasn't aware iof they would be allowed do it. They use to do it officially in the past.

They would have been doing it unofficially but if you asked nicely and the other person was waiting for the bus in Limerick they may have helped you out as generally bus Eireann staff are as helpful as most dublin Bus staff.
