    I suffer from E.T
ie, in a high anxiety situation I get the shakes pretty bad.

Alcohol does the trick but is far from ideal !

I'm in my early 20's and would like to know if anyone else suffer's from this?

Went to my G.P about it but he did flip-all for me.

I know about proponal ( I think that is how you spell it),

But I am just wondering, because I get shaky hand's when I am in high anxiety mode (which is alot for me) mabey Valum would work or some other chill pill? I tried Xanex, Was useless. A pint of carlsberg was far more effective

Wow hi :D I know it's a month later but hopefully you'll come back. I also have essential tremors. I don't take anything for them because the doctor said so. Joys.

Anyway, have you asked your GP about beta-blockers? Mine said I can have them when I'm 18 (I'm 17 now) but not before. It's meant to lessen the shakes in your hands.

I did not know about propynol? What is it?

Alcohol does work but it's not a permanent solution. Obviously :P I'd say go back to your GP and ask again.

    Hi,

I suffer the exact same problems in my hands. I actually have a class presentation coming up soon which I am getting quite anxious about. I was wondering if ye any advice for me about how I could decrease the shaking (either medication or any other ideas).

    Thanks.

We can't give any medical advise, nor can we suggest what medication you can take. Posters may only give their experience with certain medications. It would be best if you wish for a medication route to see your GP :)

I find practice, practice, practice your presentation and then you can rely on your automatic response to take over when you give it in class.
