Irish Rail have started to remove the old timetables from their website 2 days early! they have a seperate page for the new timetables but some such as the cork and tralee timetables are now the same for both the current and new versions! is this done to stop people comparing the timetables? strange that they would do this and potentially have people being late for trains today and tomorrow.

Like CIE/IE care about their so-called 'customers' - if they did, they would produce a proper printed timetable for the whole inter-city network instead of Mickey Mouse leaflets for individual lines.

The online timetable will still return the correct times.

I am taking about the online timetables, most of the pdf ones have already been replaced by the new ones

I am talking about the online search, not the printed timetables.

That seems to be gone the way of the dodo - the majority of the european operators have dropped it as well.

Online planners are all well and good but they fail to give a proper overview of the network.

Not having escaped from the country for several years now I'm not up on what other operators are doing but most would have far bigger networks than CIE - the pre-privatisation BR timetable was the size of a phonebook! I suggested to Dick Fearn a few years back that they should advertise even their own things such as Brasserie na Mara and Fastrack in the timetable but you can guess the reply. Like everything else that CIE/IE are involved with they couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery. No doubt their usual apologists will soon post here.
