    Hey all,

Ok, I had my iphone synced to itunes on a 32 bit windows xp pc. I've transfered my entire itunes folder and gotten itunes working after downloading the 64 bit version direct from apple (it took a few goes, I kept getting error 998). I managed to keep my playlists too after replacing the file paths in the library.xml file.

Now I'm trying to sync my iphone 4 to this new laptop, running windows 7 64 bit, and even though i have the 64 bit version of itunes, when i plug it in i'm getting an error saying "iphone cannot connect to this library. please unistall and download the 64 bit version of itunes". That's what I already have! I've tried uninstalling and installing from a fresh download, but it's still not working.

ANyone have a fix for this? It's wrecking my head. I want to get rid of my old pc but I can't if I can't sync my phone or ipod to my new one!!!

    Thanks

Just in case anyone is searching for the same issue, i ran a repair on the mobile device support in the control panel and then it worked. :)
