    Howdy,

1st picture is Tongue Lashor from the Masters of the Universe. He was originally one of Skeletor's cronies but I think he teamed up with the Snake guys seeing as he was a snake.

I think the Masters of the Universe guys were a bit confused because they gave Skeletor Snake Mountain but then made a "snake" bad guy later on. I forget his name but he was pretty bad ass.

Does anyone remember these guys below? I've no idea who they are or what they were called. They're pretty great. When they get acrobatic in the last picture there's a guy who I think is from MASK lying in front of them.

I had those second ones, no idea what they were called but I loved them.

Your look pretty well played with, did they used to have a little hologram sticker in the square bit, I think I remember that.

They had weapons too, my favorite was one one which had an eagle head and a trident, I'd say they are all gone now though :(

Yeah, they had a little hologram on them. I can't remember what the holograms were of though. They would have been well played with over the years alright. Lots of flinging them around the garden into puddles and the like.

I don't remember them having weapons though.

I had a cat/lion/tiger guy too. He had brown armour. He should be in the attic at home somewhere.

Hopefully someone will recall their names.

    Heroes they were.

The second group of toys are called Battle Beasts. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_Beasts

The earlier snake leader was called King Hiss. I'm a bit of an expert on MOTU I'm ashamed to say! :) Tung Lasher was one of my favourites. I remember him because we used to pretend they were WWF wrestlers and he'd always be Brutus Beefcake because his appearance almost perfectly matched Beefcakes typical outfits.

I think the guy lying on his side is a character from Dino Riders.

Dino Riders sounds familiar. I think you're right, I had thought i was ASK but your suggestions makes way more sense.

And you're a legend for remembering the Battle Beasts' name! Fair play!

No worries. Battle Beasts are easy to remember. Reason being I always considered them a bit of a scam toy. They were based on the paper rock scissors game where A beats B, B beats C and C beats A. In this case the beasts had holograms with fire, water, wood. Each figure had a wood, fire and water hologram variant so you you theoretically had to buy 3x of the every figure if you wanted to collect them all.

BTW, did you take those photos yourself? They're amazingly detailed and "moody" what with the backlight and all. Would like to be able to do stuff like that myself.

ah yeah, that was what the holograms were. Great stuff.

Had a look through google and recognise some of the other ones we had, such as Deer Stalker, Jaded Jag and Colonel Bird.

    Their names are hilarious.

    #10: Roamin' Buffalo
    #13: Gargantuan Gorilla
    #26: Bighorn Sheep
    #61: Pixilated Pointer

Oh yeah, took the photos myself.

Not enough depth of field on some of them but 'm quite happy with how they came out.

    Thanks,

    Alan
