Iphone 4 ringtone

Hi Guys, im having trouble transferring my ringtone to my iphone, i've converted it to m4r but when i sync from itunes to iphone, i can see it on the phone in the ringtones directory on itunes but when i check on the phone its still the same crap list that comes with the iphone ,any ideas what im doing wrong other that…
