    Hi Guys,

If an employer has people working for them for nothing does he have to pay the revenue tax?

The people are working for nothing because they need a certain amount of experience in order to qualify. Usually, these people would be paid under the minimum wage act. The reason they stay is so they can get qualified...

So, is the employer defrauding the revenue? Can he get into trouble?

    I have no idea.

I presume you mean employer's prsi? If the people working there are volunteering their time for free, then the employer has no duty to pay this.

If you mean tax on profit or vat, then it would be due as normal regardless.
