How do you know it's today only? It's not in their daybreaker offer.

I think these were intended for company use where they would roll out their own licensed copy of an OS.

    "US Keyboard Layout"

Don't even bother. The " key & @ key are mixed up and there are some other key differneces that are very frustrating for UK QWERTY users, trust me, I had to use my brother's US laptop for a week when I was over there, frustrating to email!!!!!

And its s cheap because like someone mentioned, no licence fee for the OS which would be about another €80 on top.

Looks like a good deal to me. Quick search and same laptop is almost £700 on LTD but is out of stock atm.

hehe, you can do the same in Ubuntu 11.04 (which is completely free) and would be a great OS for this machine.

This link is in stock and it seems very similar only the Komplett one has more ram but a lower screen res. Still its priced £673

Anyone else got views on the laptop as I know someone looking for something just to more or less use to browse the web and a few other things and this looks from my limited knowledge like a great deal.

Not a very good deal, heres why:

    • Its komplett , if anything goes wrong they are a pain to deal with
    • Poor screen res, outdated by many years now.
    • No HDMI
    • No Bluetooth
    • No Operating System
    • Dont think it even comes with a disc drive
    • Small Hard drive
    • US keyboard layout, which can get confusing for first time users

Good things going for it, are the 4gb ram, the 1 usb 3.0 port and the processor is decent, but its in no way a bargain by any means.

I did look at my post above yours. I linked to one that is nearly £700 on the site you suggested checking with very similar specs. Thanks for the help.

Mate that page could be from years ago, its not available to buy any more. Do not go by the price on that page.
Saveonlaptops dont remove pages from the directory, even if the page has not been updated in years.

From the last 10 years of using a range of different brand laptops I find Fujusti Siemens to be one of the good ones. I done a quick search on google and came across a site posting simular specs for this laptop and it claims it does have blutooth and a bit more!

    FUJITSU ESPRIMO Mobile D9510

I dont think we can expect this Komplett version to have a touch screen or Security Fingerprint for the price of 319€ "but you just never know!!" (",) The Processor on Komplett seems to be a bit better spec? It seems to be an imported version like the one I have LINKED here from the far east! I.e, When you complete the shopping cart process on Komplett they insist on supplying a FREE Power Adapter from Schuko to UK adapter. Does anyone know if a Schuko Plug is from a far east country?

I read from another BA alert thread Aldi are doing a cheap enough external usb powered 640Gb hd on sunday for 65€ with 3yrs warrenty.
As for the warrenty on the laptop anything after 28days it is normaly covered under the 12 month return to manufactor warrenty.

I will contact komplett on monday and ask if it comes with at least a dvd/rw drive, blutooth would be handy aswell If it does I think its a half decent everyday laptop and I will probably buy it.

I think if you are expecting a laptop with hdmi and a better screen you could put another 100 on top of the 319 price? To me this seams like a great price for a large screen display lappy, you said yourself the good points about the RAM & Processor Apart from just the 1 usb 3.0 it seems to have several usb 2.0 ports. Ok a customer has to add the cost of an op system, a free version of Ubuntu as another member pointed out? I myself prefare windows xp myself which I seen for sale in pc world for 29€ last week. If memory serves me right Im sure there is an option to select english uk keyboard while installing the system.

319 including delivery is a great bargin I think.. thats probably just me - each to their own and all that :)

I got a Lenovo Thinkpad SL510 for €290 delivered, which had bluetooth, HDMI, a higher res screen, much bigger Hard drive, Windows 7 Home premium, better quality brand and build quality, with an DVD RW optical drive, anti glare screen. An extra 2GB stick of ram cost me €15 on crucial. So no, laptops with those standard features do not cost over €400

Powerful and rugged notebook with superior performance, ideal for traveling due to the weight of only 2.5 kilo. It has a stable wireless connection and Bluetooth.

The notebook comes without a DVD drive and operating system, there's also a 'Gilde' logo on the topcover of the notebook.

    Fujitsu 15.4 ESPRIMO Mobile D9510
