Just wondering if anyone could tell me when you pick your subjects for 2nd arts. I know I want to do History and English, but don't know when and how I'm supposed to pick them.
Also, if anyone knows when you can pick your modules also, I'd be grateful for the info.
    Thanks. :)

Slightly off topic, but just a word of advice. I did English and History in NUIG and I made a mistake in 2nd year that I had to work hard in final year to remedy. Be very careful with picking your seminars in English and your subjects in History. There are introduction lectures in History that will make the subject sound really interesting, but be aware that interesting often equates to difficult! Take into account the lecturer as well. For example, I did 'The First Crusade', because I wanted to find out more about it. Bad Idea. It's shocking how much knowledge of the area that you are studying affects your study of the subject. I would heartily recommend sticking to subjects you already have a vague knowledge of, such as Irish topics, English History (Steven Ellis's class on the Tudors was amazing), World Wars, American History etc. As for English, get your seminar choices in early. For example, Film and Shakespeare is a brilliant choice, if you get it. But Landscape Poetry is painful!

Landscape Poetry? I'm intrigued... Is that the opposite of Portrait Poetry, or something?

    I'll get my coat. :D
