Don't know if it will be of use to anyone here but the Irish Sports Council has released a free iPhone app that lets you check if any medicines or prescription drugs you are taking, are on the World Anti-Doping Agency list of prohibited substances.

Unlikely to ever be of use to me but might be of interest to the more elites on here. It's funny checking out what you have in your medicine cupboard at home against the list. Apparently the solpadol capsules I got from the doctor a while back are permitted, yet Lemsip's are banned during competition. :)

Good to know that alcohol is not on the banned list for us runners:

I think it probably should be banned for the likes of javelin though, don't really want drunk people and spears to be mixing. :D

Better include the shot putt and disc in that also, dont want someone to get one of those in the head!

Would make the hurdles and steeplechase interesting:D

I figure that shot putters would be easy enough to get away from so drunk in charge of a shot isn't that dangerous. Discus, javelin and hammer could be lethal though.

At least with pole vault your only really a danger to yourself.
