Does anyone here play Torn City?

It's a text based MMO RPG based on crime. But there is a lot more to it than that. You have stockmarkets, companies, factions and wars. You have to learn how to make money and train yourself to become a killer!

The casino is a lot of fun for people who like to play blackjack or poker as well.

Used to play it years ago. Became totally addicted to it and was spending way too much time on it. Was part of a very powerful faction at the time and we were constantly at war with other powerful factions. Found myself up at 4 o'clock in the morning at times to be part of chain attacks on other factions. A magnificent game but very addictive.

and @deman yeah it can be, I play quite a lot as well, but a lot has changed in regards to wars and that, you don't need that much time for it anymore so it's a bit better this way I think

Fine but there doesn't seem to be much to do. I log in, use up my energy in the gym, use up my nerve on crimes and then leave it only to log back in a few hours later and repeat.

Am I missing something ?

Yeah, I think in the start it can be a little bit dull. Once you get in to a faction, it will be a lot more fun as there are faction wars and that too. It's not built as a very fast paced game. Once you hit level 10 it will be a lot easier to make money too. You can fly then to different destinations around the globe and ship items back to Torn and sell them.

I'm not exactly sure what the missions are like that you can do at the moment as they were not around when I signed up, but my cousin seems to be enjoying them.

But yeah, factions are usually a lot of fun, you'll find people to talk to, competitions, organized crimes etc.

The game gets more fun at level 10-15 or so. You can play poker then as well I think, it unlocks at like level 15.

I use to play that and thankfully im well away from it.

Ruined my life ,on my computer and phone 24/7 playing it ,i had to
abuse the admins to ban my account .:D

Yeah you have to try to balance everything and not focus exclusively on torn, I log in a lot, but don't play that much :-)

I've been playing a different one for about a year. I'm a few hours a day on it and it doesn't have to be so time demanding. The good thing about it is that it has a decent core of players who have been active for over 2 years and the developers are frequently online. Ideas get implemented and the game is constantly growing.
