Just heard about the Bord Gais price hikes today.
This comes on top of water charges, vhi hikes, quinn 2% levies et al.
We are gradually becoming a communist country it seems, Irish Soviet Socialist Republic.

What I was wondering was why we get all the bad stuff from communism, but none of the good stuff?

How about we build a bullet train from Cork to Belfast?
If we are going to strangle the taxpayer, why not at least do something constructive?

Why are the roads in Cork a mess?
Why don't we just fix them and charge it back to the taxpayer, quinn style?

Why are we cancelling infrastructural projects at all?

Why did loss making become illegal?
Why don't Bord Gais rethink the way they do business?

It seems to be open seasion on the Irish Taxpayer.

The reality is we are very nearly paying northern European tax rates with none of the related benefits.
