    hi, im looking to go on a sun holiday with girlfriend during the last week of july. not looking for a mad one, went to lanzarote last year and really enjoyed it,busy but not crazy,nice beaches,food,pubs etc.and loads to see,
    would like something the same this year,
    any ideas

    Hiya id suggest Tenerife was there with my boyfriend last summer and its very much like lanzarote we loved it anyway and were both in our early 20's.
    Id be interested in hearing some other peoples suggestions too as myself and my boyfriend are trying to decide where to go again this summer but would like to go somewhere neither of us have been before!!
    Although its been a few years since i was in Portugal i'm sure that will be suggested to you also as a lot of my friends and their boyfriends have gone there on holidays in the last few summers and loved it!!

    We stayed in Playa De Las Americas in a lovely hotel called Sol Tenerife right on the beach. i could highly recommend it so much so that we will probably go there again this summer :D

    I'd suggest maybe Costa del Sol. Lovely place, loads to do like boat trips, markets, theme parks... Been there twice with my boyfriend now and even though Im not the kind of person to keep giong back to the same place if I can help it, we are going back in June cuz we got it cheap and Im really looking forward to it. Some amazing restaurants there aswell.

    Gran Canaria is lovely aswell, Id recomend Masopalomos its brilliant. Amazing beach walks, fabulous food and LOADS to do including going down to the harbour towns, or Puerto Rico. If you want the odd night out you can go to the shows there, or walk/get a taxi up to Playa des Ingles where theres tonnes of clubs (wouldnt stay there though) We even got a boat across to Tenerife and went to Loro Parque (www.loroparque.com) while we were there.
