A San Diego-based UFO researcher named Ed Grimsley captured what one writer called "multiple unidentified flying objects" that were "saucer-shaped [and] appeared to hover in the sky and change direction before moving out of sight." The video was taken April 30 with Grimsley's organization, Skywatch.

    Very interesting video.
    Enjoy :)

i've done alot of skywatching but by myself ..... i didn't have the net at that time nor anything to record with not even a moblie that i could use and i'm only going back a few year's ago, i'm not that old ... lol!!
So in terms of the tech to use when skywatching i won't use the latest gear or anything,it was just for myself in ways...
All it takes is the first time and you won't find it pointless but it may take some time to see anything......or just something.

It's a strange one, cos if aliens/ETs are real, then there's nothing paranormal or supernatural about them. It's just natural. Astrobiologists fully expect that there is life on other planets.

Although I suppose if you think about it, if we could prove that ghosts/spirits exist, then that wouldn't be supernatural anymore either! The 'natural' realm would just expand to include them.

This is an interesting forum which would probably be better suited for UFO topics. It's not very active though.

Cheers Dave I will use that in future

You won't get many replies I'm afraid :D Most UFO shít goes here, just saying that other forum would probably be more suitable, if people posted in it...

I used to do it alot when i was a kid, skywatching.Mad how people stopped looking up.
The usual thing is always see something when you have nothing with you, unless like those people in the video who do it every night.
Sounds like fun you have two people above looking to go with you now i think.
I dont see the usual suspects jumping in to debunk this video

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 635 ✭✭✭jonbravo

    whats to debunk!?
Most people when it come's to a discussion on forums about the question of alien life, or ufo's, tend to find or take the political view point that they feel the discussion has to down......rather then just ask the question of is it possible!?....how is it possible!?
    When it comes to this video is it possible?, yes.. it is i've seen something like this.{i wasn't alone at the time}
how is it possible!? I don't know!!! Everyone's a student when it come's to the question of HOW. in fact most people with an interest in this subject spend hour's looking up U.S black projects to find the best clue or smoking gun. Every-one wants to prove something to others or themselfs....this is when you have person's jumping around debunking everything.
I don't want to find the smoking gun within this subject, i'll only have to talk about it for the rest of my life.....F*** that!
unless i just want to play along for the laughbiggrin.gif.....

I've never skywatched within a group or team before.....nor want to be the center-point of one.
i won't mind being in the back-ground of a skywatch and see a team or group in action.
I skywatch mostly in the slieve blooms or on its foot-hills.

Its not very active because its not a UFO forum and doesnt apply itself as one by its name to new or old members, of which i might add,.. active person's within boards have asked for every-year at some point in time... , How many number of people over the year's have asked for a ufo forum i don't know.
I know thats a discussion for another day or another post....But to be honest.. i wouldn't waste my time with a discussion about it, with an unorthodox question and answers style debate too an unrequited result.......NO thanks.

In that forums charter it specifically mentions ufology. What you could do is petition the powers that be to simply change that forums name from its current(imo terrible, dont know wtf its supposed to mean) to Ufology.

In the mean time why not post you various musings etc in that forum? No one uses it so the UFO heads may as well.

The above post says it all:
i'm no andy dufresne nor need to be, i won't be sending 3 letters a week instead of 1 to petition the powers that be.
You answered that question for me WT, no one uses it,why just me....and i don't know who these unidentified flying object heads are.. i can't speak for others:P!?

The Paranormal forum isn't specifically a 'UFO forum' either, but it gets used for that purpose...

The forum I linked to has a wierd name, that's probably why people don't venture into it. I just noticed it one day when I was bored and clicking around.

I'm not sure it necessarily makes sense to split up Paranormal anyway... I guess most people know what to expect when they come in here, so it doesn't really matter if something is or is not technically "supernatural". I was just mentioning it as an aside.

I dont think having a separate UFO forum is really splitting up paranormal. Just recently I have started to act on my interest in the UFO area and read up/discuss it more. I didn't know where to post, CT, here, or as you say "Boardean times".
    Looking at all 3 forums some things are apparant;
    • There are UFO topics in the CT forum
    • There are UFO topics in the Paranormal forum
    • It is apparant that there is interest in this area and posters are unsure where to post
    • As you said Ufology is not really paranormal
    • "Boardean times" is pretty much a dead forum

I think that if there was a dedicated forum(just rename "Boardean times") it would clear up the confusion about where to post and also facilitate discussion. noobs would know where to post and we wouldn't have this fascinating topic scattered across various forums, which dilutes discussion.

Anyone else think that that is a good idea? If anyone thinks this a good idea I could start a thread in feedback or something?

    http://www.examiner.com/ufo-in-national/missouri-witnesses-report-aircraft-shooting-at-ufos

A group of Pacific, MO, witnesses report watching what looked like aircraft "shooting at" a group of about 20 UFOs moving overhead at 11 p.m. on May 7, 2011, according to May 9 testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

Continue reading on Examiner.com: Missouri witnesses report aircraft 'shooting at' UFOs - National ufo s7

We saw them fly in straight lines and would turn unlike any aircraft I have ever seen," the reporting witness stated. "They would be moving slow and then stop and then just dart. We also saw one fly right over our house, and when it got above us it glowed a bright white

We also saw some kind of aircraft chasing a few of them and even what looked like the aircraft was shooting at it. I saw flashes from the plane in the direction of the UFO. This lasted maybe 30 seconds, then the plane flew off. You could see the difference between the UFOs and the planes. We saw many of aircraft fly around the area for quite some time during and after the event."

And more of these apparent wars in skies

For those interested I did start a feedback thread

And theres a thread going on a possible renaming of the Boardean Times forum

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056281116

And I have started posting about UFOs there too

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056284240

Sorry for the off topicness but just thought I would post an update! :)

this is why it is so difficult to get hard evidence...the ets are terrified of our hostility.....us government constantly trying to shoot them out of the sky

Somehow I can't see this being the case. If they've managed to navigate across the galaxy, they surely would have been able to develop more advanced weaponry.

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=72574022&postcount=7

Thats touted as a UFO being fired upon. Maybe they are so advanced fighting back would be the same as us nuking spearmen?
