not sure if this belongs here but feel free to move it if im posting in the wrong section -

a few years ago i recived 3 very bad scars on my face because of a motorbike accident, 5 years ago i went to a company called "advanced cosmetic surgery" who at the time performed a scar revision surgery at a cost of 2.5k with no visable results, im looking to get scar revision surgery to correct the scars properly, should i go through a proper hospital or one of the private crowds again, and what should i expect to pay?

Most people here are probably not going to be able to answer your question properly unless they've went through plastic surgery themselves. My only advice would be to go to a good GP and ask their advice for a good plastic surgeon.
Hope everything goes well for you

Doctors are trades mens. They are all qualified but some are better than others and there are a wagon load of cowboys in that part of the industry that made loads of quick bucks from a very impressionable part of society(eg 16 year old girls wanting breast agumentation).

As well as getting a GP's recommendation also see if you can get reference from a patient. I am the kind of person that advises against cosmethic surgery that is non essential but I completely understand where you are coming from and you have legitimate concerns.

Take it slowly, dont get mystified and carried away by sales reps, flash catalogues and high street clinics their job is sell you the procedure. Have proper consultations with the surgeon. Remember they are only as good as their last procedure. Good luck

As with the other posters OP, I'd be inclined to suggest your GP as a starting point for advice - nobody here is likely to be able to provide you with much info on the best options re plastic surgery.

One thing I would add (whilst bearing in mind I'm not a doctor and don't have any background in this area) is that it may not be possible to fully restore your appearance, or indeed to correct things much more depending on the particulars of the situation. It may be that what the clinic already did (or didn't do) for you is as much as can be achieved. Obviously you'll need a professional medical opinion after an examination of your case to determine that, but I'm simply bringing it up as one outcome you may need to bear in mind. A second opinion is definitely worth pursuing though, in any case.

You could try posting on the Health Sciences forum - nobody there is going to give you medical advice, but they might be able to give you better info on where to seek further advice.
