Model? Engine? Spec? Colour? Condition? NCT? Tax?

3k would probably be average, mileage is a tad high.

Too much, 3 would be fair.

Crazy money imo and I would not fancy the 1.4 litre at all especially one with that mileage on it. 1.4 litre is poor both in performance and reliability. My advice, find a 1.6 or TDi instead.

You're correct about the €3000 being mad money though :)

Ive never had any trouble with any of my 1.4 golfs and Ive had 3 of them, i just trade up every couple of years, I think they are the best car of their range, How to You think 3000 is too much my stereo and alloys are worth a thousand by themselfs

any money you've spent on the car is'nt necessarily added to the value. a car is only worth whatever the mark is making on the market.
a half decent stereo and wheels are pretty much standard kit on most used motors now.

Personally I hate 1.4 Golfs but when they come with R32 alloys and badges/interior...... Ewwwww.

Aftermarket stereos and alloy wheels make feck all difference to the market value of a used car. The best they could do is make it easier to sell but they may also put some people off who don't want big wheels on a 1.4 hatchback. Now in saying that for some reason young lads get all excited about 1.4 Golfs with large wheels so it is possible that you will get close to your asking price.

I'd take them off and sell them seperately though if you want some of what you paid for them back.

You reckon you'd get a grand if you sold them so ?

Yeah Id get a grand for them, Had someone offer me that for them last week but wanted them with car to raise value

You're dreaming if you think they're worth a grand added to the value of the car.
