    Hi,

Could some one let me know what type of wiring needs to be installed for CCTV.

I will have 4 camera's being fed back to a central recorder. If I want to be able to look at the cameras on the internet do I need cat5e cabling to each camera or just to the controller?

Any other tips would be appreciated?

I used RG59 Shotgun cable. Coax video and 2 core power in a small form cable. There's a description on this site, I got mine off ebay, though. I also got them pre-terminated, if you do too, factor the connectors into any holes for cable runs.

For internet viewing, you only need cat5e to the controller (providing it supports remote viewing over ethernet.

For a cheap alternative fix, get an old/cheap PC with a big hard drive for security, there is a cheap 4 channel USB CCTV recorder, and you could remote desktop into this security PC to view your cameras. You'll need an internet provider with a static IP address or get an IP Forwarding service to access your PC as your IP address changes with a standard provider.
