3v changeover to Raphael's Bank

Got this from 3v. Anyone know about Raphael's Bank or if T&C's will change much

Important Changes for 3V Customer Card and 3V Voucher Holders
With effect from 4th July 2011, Irish Life & Permanent plc, will no longer be the issuer of 3V Visa Vouchers; they will instead be issued by R. Raphael & Sons plc (Raphaels Bank).

    What this means for you
On this date your 3V Account on 3v.ie and any remaining vouchers will transfer to Raphael’s Bank and will be subject to their terms and conditions. If you do not wish to have your account transferred you should arrange to redeem any remaining funds before this date.

Vouchers can be redeemed using the Manage My Account option on the 3V website www.3v.ie.

You can still spend any funds remaining on unexpired vouchers after this date and you will still be able to redeem funds at anytime, regardless of whether the voucher is active or expired.

Any vouchers purchased in Payzone stores after 4th July 2011, will be issued by Raphaels Bank.

3V and Raphaels will send an email shortly with more information about the changeover.

Yeah I just got the same email from 3V. All I know is that Raphael's Bank is registered in England so its regulated by the UK's financial regulator, according to their website that is.

Anyway I'm thinking about getting one of those O2 Money Cards. Same as 3V except they give you an actually Visa debit card, so there's no hassle with crappy print out vouchers and short expiry dates that you have to put up with on 3V. And you don't have to be an 02 customer.

    By the way I don't work for O2 .... :)

Why not just open a Permanent TSB or Ulster Bank Account and use their Visa Debit Card?

Or open an Account in both and keep one for Online stuff.

I wonder can I get my profile deleted before the changeover?

I don't use the service at all since getting the over the counter cards from the various shopping centres.

Moneybookers is pretty fantastic, they have their own credit card tied to your moneybookers account, so to use the credit card you gotta topup your moneybookers account.

Its kinda like 3v + paypal linked together but without the voucher crap.
