Selling car without logbook.

    I am trying to sell my car but I dont have the log book, god knows where it is but I cant find it.
    A guy rang today to come and see it but I dont know what to do about the log book. Can I sell it without it and get it transferred later?

    No one in their right mind would buy a car with no logbook.

    You need to get a replacement one first. It would be most unwise to sell it without one.

    Yes you can sell the car, but as said you still need to replace the log book.
    €12 and you need to fill out a a replacement log book form - you can get this form at any Garda station.
    Go to your nearest tax office, give them the RF134 form filled out with your current address (provided your car is regestered to the same address) and the €12, ask for a recipt and you will have the log book within the week.

    Does the potential buyer know that you have no logbook? Dont be selling it unless you have it to save any hassle.As already said, download this
