I've had to use Paypal a few times over the last fortnight. It's been practically unusuable - timeouts, pages just not loading, etc. Anyone else been having problems?

I'd guess this is a problem with your computer/Internet connection.

I'd like to hear if others are having the issues, rather than the second post on thread being a Mod of the forum pretty much rubbishing my question.

I've been online long enough to try a different computer, and use a different ISP too.

I made a payment this morning, no problems.
Bought a couple of cans of wrinkle VHT:)

maybe your firewall is blocking it, I have used paypal several times this week with no issues.

Firewall isn't an issue, nor should it be. It's standard http/https traffic.

Where exactly was this then? Time out issues are often due to the client, or their Internet connection.

Well, instead of being a smart ass, you could have said that up front. I checked Paypal, and there was no problem. If Paypal were having the problem, it would effect everyone, so this problem is more localised to yourself.

we use paypal a lot and no problems whatsoever .

If you have many time-outs , it is likely to be also happening on other websites too, if it is internet / pc problem .
Try other websites that you need to log into first , like O2 , Banking , auction websites , facebook etc

Contact Paypal , - they have a very efficient and monitored support , whether you contact them by eMail or phone .

But with this type of problem , you will more than likely be told to contact your PC manufacturer or Broadband provider .

I would advise a simple clear cache and cookies.

The paypal site has regular updates
