Hey all, any informed advice appreciated.
I am presently working as a town planner in Australia after arriving here three months ago. Unfortunately due to changes in personal circumstances back home I need to return home to be with my partner. My question is what if any benefits am I entitled to upon returninghome. I was working full time prior to leaving so I have built up my stamps...i think thats the term. I intend to seek work un the UK after a month or two un Ireland.
    Thanks.

as long as you have the required stamps you will have no problem getting JSB.

Thanks. I was working fulltime for about thirteen months prior to coming here so that should mean I have the required stamps yes? I didn't get any tax back prior to leaving. Out of curiosity if I has applied for tax back would I still be entitled to JSB?

To qualify for JSB you will have to had at least 104 "a" class contributions paid. If you have only worked for 13 months it would appear that you dont have the required amount. You can apply for Jobseekers Allowance.
