A trees branches are overhanging from one backyard over the fence onto another property. The householder who does not own the tree cuts the overhanging branches off.
Would the person who cut the overhanging branches off be entitled to return them to their owner ie. put the back over the fence when cut?
Two neighbours of mine back in the 70's had a ferocious falling out over something similar but I was to small to remember the facts. I was gardening tonight and clipping etc. when I remembered the arguement and often wondered who was right.
Both neighbours are passed away now but the tree is still there:)
