In the current edition of Ships Monthly on page 21 is a rather nice piece about HMS Ark Royal, it basically says there are plans to move her to London to act as a "Security Center" for the Olympic Games.

It goes on to say 20 Sponsors have expressed interest in acquiring her for the project which is supported by the Chief of the Defence Staff and the First Sea Lord.

She could also be used as a Heliport and base for rescue/sercurity services.
