    So...

Spurred on by the thread about reducing redness I decided to invest in a DE razor...

I always suffer from shaving rash after i shave (using my gillette fusion pro). Has been that way all my life!

So i just bought 100 feather razors, a razor, a brush (cheapest) and one of the most recommended creams/soaps on shave.ie...

    Questions;
How long does it take to arrive?
    Is is actually worth it?
Is buying feather razors retarded for first time use?
Should I invest in anything else? (post treatments etc or should normal moisturizers work)

Guys... How the hell do I use this razor without killing myself?

Where did you purchase from? If from Shaving.ie and all items in stock then stuff should arrive after a day or two. They are quick once stuff is in stock.

I believe it is worth it. But only you can decide this for yourself.
I like it because it revives the old way of shaving before it became a marketers dream.

Some say beginners should start with Feathers because the blade will force you to perfect your technique straight away. To be honest with you I've yet to use a Feather and I've been DE shaving for 5 months now (they are sitting in my drawer waiting )

    What razor did you buy?

Finally, check out mantic59 on youtube, his videos will show you how to best start out with DE shaving.
    Also geofatboy has excellent videos.

    ..Enjoy!

Feathers are a pretty hard one to get used to imho, i got the sample pack from shaving.ie and used one feather (after a few others) and cut the head off myself. i'll stick to the Derby\Astra type blades for the moment

They can be a bit unforgiving unless you are using the lightest of touches. Best to wait until you are sure of your technique.

feathers are very unforgiving but once you get used to them and get your technique right they are the best blades around imo.i only use them now after trying out a few different ones at the start.I still nick myself a odd time but nothing major usually if im in a bit of a hurry or not concentrating.also buy a styptic pencil .
