Purple shoes to match this dress - what do you think?

Hey all,

I'm looking to get a pair of shoes to go with this dress that I got from Monsoon for a wedding:



I don't really want to go with silver - I was hoping to get something the same colour as the dress (purple suede - mmmmm!). I haven't managed to find anything yet though and the wedding is this Friday. I'm heading out on a hunt tomorrow in Dublin city centre. Because the dress is long enough - hangs just above my knees - I don't want to go for chunky shoes. I'm thinking nice strappy stilettos with a good high thin heel.

Does anybody know where I might get shoes in that colour or have any other shoe suggestions. A friend suggested to me that nude coloured shoes might work, but I haven't found anything that would go.

I don't know what to do re. accessories either. I was thinking maybe simple gold jewelery, but if I'm going for purple shoes, I'd need to go for a similar coloured bag too, I think. Anything else would just jar with the outfit. Maybe a small purple bag with a gold chain? I'm never going to find what I want if I'm being this specific!!! But what are the chances that I'll find the perfect bag and shoes to match!?!

Any suggestions would be really, really welcome! I'm really limiting myself with choices, but you know when you have an idea of exactly what you want in your head it's hard to think of other ideas!!

LOVE the dress, I'd go for the colour blocking option for accessories. Something in complete contrast to the dress. Bright red or green or mustard. Was at a wedding recently and spotted a few people doing the same and it looked really well. Just stick to a plain, strong colour for both shoes and bag.

I tried on that dress in Monsoon (Dundrum) in March and at the time they had some very nice matching purple peep toe stilettos, they were €99 tho.

I love it too! I know what you're talking about re. colour blocking, but I want to keep it simple for this occasion.

Cheers. I just had a look at those shoes and the colour is right, but they're a bit low for what I was thinking. I'm going to hit the shops this evening and not go home 'till I've found something perfect. Shoe Shopping!!! :D:D
