How do they make money out of this?
They essentially download everything for you, compress it and re-upload it directly to your handset. That doesn't happen for free...

    Hi there,

I have just installed this app but there is a comment on iTunes that it may mess with the APN. Any one got any ideas about that and will it annoy the networks:cool:

does this work ok on o2 here?....reason i ask is that it wants to delete the o2 profile in settings and replace it....if it does that and doesnt work or something..how do i get the o2 profile back....would i be left with a situation that i cant get data on the phone because the correct o2 profile isnt in place ??

I seen this on the app store but at the time it had no reviews so was a little suspicious about it so didn't download. Now it's only got 1 review which says it messed up the APN settings. How does it work? Has anyone here got it and does it actually work right without messing up any settings? Sounds a little too good to be true for my liking.

It changes your APN settings, but doesn't affect the performance of the phone. It can be easily uninstalled by going to the profile in your general settings and pressing remove. The phone reverts back to the old settings then.

The thing I didn't like about it is that it leaves a signature on your outgoing emails. I received an email from Gmail telling me that my account had been accessed by Onavo, but in the Onavo FAQ it says this is common and only a safety feature by Gmail. Not sure how people feel about it accessing everything on your phone though.....
