    Hi

This might be hard to explain but ill try my best. A friend of mine wants to get a sportsbook style website done. It will basically function like a typicle crm system but will also have a database built in where he can log users bets.
This will act like a spreadsheet except online. Users can log in, see their details, their bets, p&l etc and the admin can log in and enter the details and other standard functions.

Is something like this feasable, can opensource crm systems be modified like that, and how much would you reckon something like this would cost?

    cheers

So take the online aspect out of this...

Now, how are you different from an underground bookie?

Legalities aside, can you write PHP or another server side programming language. It wouldn't be too difficult to develop a solution using a framework like CodeIgniter.

Also, about the feasibility. Your basically a bookie, no? I know less that f*** all about that but isn't competition in that business based on the odds you give the punters?

No people ring him and he gives them the best price available for that bet with the best bookie, he will have accounts with all the bookmakers. They will already have given him a funding bank so he just manages for them and logs their bets. He wants a system in place to do this as it is easier than excell. The set up of the pages will look like an excell sheet he already has.
