    hi all
anyone seen the new physics syllabus? there are quite a few changes. it ll be interesting to see if it holds up to the statements by by Katherine Donnelly The Independent Saturday April 23 2011:
"A major shake-up in physics, chemistry and biology will catapult learning in Irish second-level schools to the cutting edge of science." hold true given that particle physics ahas been taken off the course. haven't these people NCCA, The minister for education) heard of the Higgs Boson, the God Particle, CERN, The Four fundamental Forces of Nature?

I don't understand coming online in 2012. When is it proposed for fifth years to start the course?

    Lostatsea...
Online means active in the system so fifth year students in September 2012 are expected to lstudy the new syllabusbut depending on red tape, ministerial back handers and educational brown envelopes it could be fifth years in 2013
Link... you could simply Google it but lostatsea is lost at sea so
