Fixed Penalty

    I brought up to the local garda station back home easter weekend, called up to the garda the next day and he said i would be getting a fine in the post, thats a fixed penaltynotice right? and its near 3 weeks now, should it be taking this long or is it possible the garda has changed his mind and will be giving me a summons?

    If you have previous you may not be eligible for the fixed penalty or if you have never been introuble they may be considering an adult caution instead. Or the Garda may just no have goten around to it yet.

    i have a conviction for possesion of cannabis 8 years ago, so that might be the hinderance? got in touch wit a detective i know and he had a chat wit the garda and had to go up and apologise, the garda said id be gettin it in the post so if he said that i imagine he will send it out in the post right?
