Andriod Tablet recommendations

    howdy folks :)

I'm going to be travelling with the Mrs later this year and thought instead of buying a portable DVD player it might be worth looking for a respectable, potentially unbranded or lesser brand (ipad and galaxy tab are a little pricey right now) andriod tablet that we could watch films on and do a little light browsing on. Doesn't need to be fantastic and we'd simply use it at home as an extra browser (via wifi) once we're home..

I've read the horror reviews on blogs on the web about various ipad clones.. can anyone recommend one that's half decent with access to the android market place, wifi and USB :)

    Regards,
    James

I have a Acer Iconia, that has Wifi, a USB (both a mini-usb, and a full usb port) ports, and has access to Android market. Been playing around with it for a few days, and have had no issues so far.-

Archos 101 is a great cheap tablet. Especially so after the recent updates, everything "just works" on it, including flash websites. You need to manually install the android market, but it works fine. I think you can buy it for e200 in currys now? Also they have rebranded it as the archos "something else", not sure.

Cheap tablets can feel a bit laggy in comparison to premium models, but this is only a minor annoyance. Once an app has opened up it's generally ok. There are lots of other cheap tablets around but I haven't tried them out so can't recommend.
