I am hoping to purchase ND grad filters at the end of the week but can I ask from your experiences which are better Cokin or Kood or is there another make out there apart from Lee (kinda outta my budget) that anyone can recommend. I would of course love a set of Lee filters but I know the waiting list is about 8 weeks and they are a tad too expensive for me at the minute. Might add them to my list for Santa! But in the meantime which make/brand should I go for?

Cokin have had financial difficulties and have been bought out. They are still producing filters but only to order on the most popular lines. So Cokin are available but often with delays, but not as bad as the LEE delays - can actually be up to 6 MONTHS.....
There has been a huge increase in the demand for ND and Graduated ND filters in the last three years and at the height of it the EU banned the dyes used by Cokin (and others probably), so they had to research new dyes and processes and then catch up on back orders, then came the financial troubles.
The Fader ND is the new (Ultra cool) kid on the block - it's a screw in ND filter - adjustable from 3 to 8 f-stops ND. If that's not enouth there is an ULTRA model that gives 9-12 f-stops!
