Might be a bit of a stupid question, but can you claim for damage to your car off your insurance, ie badly scratched. My van was badly scratched from someone or something but they never stopped so i dont know who it was.

Just wasnt sure insurance covers something like this? Im going to give them a call tomorrow but dont really want to call and make an eejit of myself, lol if you cant claim for this kind of stuff.:o

    Thanks

If you have fully comp. you can claim, but you need to work out whether the loss of the no-claims bonus would be worth it - there is a cut-off point below which you should just pay for the damage yourself.

Most fully comps are fully protected nowadays. However your policy will have an excess you would have to pay. Check how much that comes to first.

I had one of the neighbours' kids scribble all over my car with a bolt. I didn't catch them at it, and couldn't prove anything. I had to get 7 panels resprayed, and put it through on an insurance claim.
