    Hi all

My other half needs a new mirror for a 2004 Ford Focus.

A friend recommended she buy the part online and bring
it to the garage for them to fit.

Anyone have good/bad experiences with buying parts online?

    What sites do you recommend?

    Thanks

    Drive safe

    B

Try a breakers yard - probably be cheaper too.

    Do they still exist?

I haven't seen one of them in years.

    www.micksgarage.ie/

I got a wing mirror from the above and fitted myself - not too difficult, google in a Ford forum and follow instructions

I buy lots of stuff online.

Is it just the glass itself or the whole unit?

If just the glass just get it locally - should be cheap as chips!

It's the whole thing, glass and plastic wing part.

Thanks guys, plenty of options there

Try www.partfinder.ie - more than likey you will find the part but the casing will have to be sprayed, shouldn't be more than €50 for that. Price part + €50 vs new and see how you fare out.

I recently ordered some parts from Carparts.ie,
It was a service kit and timing belt kit and some pump I was told to get too!
They were cheap than most I could find in Ireland without going to the UK by about 17euros at the time!

Threw in a free bottle of Son of a gun too lol:pac:

I used these recently to source parts for my 9-3, got a number of quotes from various salvage companies in the UK within a few hours and got a great deal.
