I've heard very good reports about the Peppermill Restaurant in Nenagh

There are also some really nice places to eat in Ballina/Killaloe

    Goosers

    The River Run

    Flanagans on the lake

If it is a special occasion, The Cherry Tree is excellent and has won lots of awards

I've been to Fiacri house on three occasions and on each occasion it has been superb. I'm from west Tipp, but it's well worth the relatively long car journey. After my first meal there I was so impressed that I said if I get warning of when I'm dying I want to come back for my last super!

I've also eating at Inch house also very good. The only thing about Inch that I can fault is the dining room is a little small so sometimes you are on-top of other people. Wouldn't bother me so much if I was with a group but on romantic meal for two, it's not ideal to be so close to others. But I couldn't fault the food there either.

Both are now doing some sort of early birds menu's as well now.

I was going to recommend either Inch House or The Cherry Tree, both are my favourite restaurants in N. Tipp. Check out Menupages.ie for reviews and opinions

Fiacri is a fantastic resaurant, the food is out of this world...consistently sublime! The kind of place you tend to reserve for extra special occasions!
