Hey can anyone tell me whats up with my brake pads. The pad on the rear left wheel is making a noise and is digging into the disc and it is causing it to become worn down! Do i just need to replace the pad or is there something more serious wrong with it?

Your pads are fcuked. Your disks will be soon to follow if you are using the brakes with out replacing the pads. If its just one side wearing a lot more than the other you could be looking at a seized calliper. Get it sorted asap, whats the make and model, year etc?

If its making a grinding noise and scoring the disk then you already need a new pair of disks.

Often, one side will wear completly slightly ahead of the other side but as Plug has said, if one side is down to the metal and the other side has plenty of pad left then you are likely looking at further issues, caliper etc..

had something similar on a car i had. guide pins on either side of the caliper were seized and wore the pads unevenly. have a look yourself if you're up for the task.

Do not sit around waiting to get this done. You are currently using metal on metal to try and stop your car. This could result ion an accident.

The caliper closest to the verge/ditch often seizes and can cause the pad to wear down a lot quicker than it should.
