€100 from Audi sounds very cheap to me, TBH.

That's a bargain! Even the pirates ones are about 50 quid by the time they're landed here, most manufacturers are between 250-300 euro.

When i say a 100, the Audi dealer didnt have an exact price but he said it would be over a 100 so i'd say maybe 150 max.
I came across this site, i wonder can it be trusted http://www.sat-navi.com/audi.html

Can't understand why factory-fitted SatNav systems are so expensive and then you pay to pay through the nose for the maps updates.

Surely if you've been screwed buying the equipment in the first place they could just give you a free map update when getting a service with an Audi service centre?

Garmin offer lifetime updates for most of their auto models for about 100 dollars.

Count yourself lucky! I have an A4 and recently took a road trip to Monaco. Sat Nav in the car was outdated so asked Audi for an updated CD.

    "Sure, that'll be €450 please"

"It's ok, I'll go out and buy a top of the range Sat Nav and save €200, thanks"

For €100 are you getting a disc or just allowing them do the upgrade with their own disc? If they are giving you a current disc for that price I'll have 10.

The lads on Wheeler Dealers last night were refurbishing an old Range Rover, the SatNav was on the blink so they bought a reconditioned unit and the mechanic guy said that the bonus was that the recon unit came with a 2010 map update CD which he said would normally cost over 200 squids.
