I'd prefer a slush puppy myself. They still sell those, right?

If the guard had turned up to court he would have lost and been fined. Not a big deal, he won nothing really.

not too bad to go back to 2 weeks ago.

well, yea, if the garda was up in the court...

do you think that the garda let him go by not appearing in the court...???? because they guess the journalist might keep on writing, appealing, making it a big deal for a bit of fun...?!?! :D

I think someone should egg that journalist's house. Then not pay the resulting fine. Surely he'll see it as an act of solidarity?

ah jesus he only "won" because the Guard didnt turn up, he didnt win because of his stance on the whole slush fund issue. The same would happen to any one of us if the Guard didnt turn up.

ps like his stance on the issue but dont do the crime if you cant do the time(or fine in this instance)
