*I received permission from LoLth to post this*

Since 2003 ISSA Ireland has organised dozens of security seminars for Irish security professionals. This year we will host our largest event yet: a two-day conference covering topics from Technical and Operational Security to Management and Governance of Information Security along with discussions on future threats and trends. The event is on the 11th and 12th of May in Dublin. Our conference programme can be viewed or downloaded here: http://www.issaireland.org/conference/ISSAIrelandConference-DraftProgramme.pdf

We have some fantastic international speakers lined up along with world class keynotes: Ed Gibson, Fred Piper and Dennis Jennings. The event will break into multiple tracks on both days to allow delegates to attend specialist talks of their choice. The main track is top-level international speakers on diverse topics such as:

    • Selecting an SIEM vendor/solution
    • Chip and Pin Internals
    • On-line Privacy Controls: What they don't say
    • 8 days a week - behind the Verizon Business Data Breach Investigations Report
    • Productivity vs Control: End-user Adoption of Online Collaboration Services
    • PICO - no more passwords
    • PCI DSS 2.0: What happens next!
    • Fixing your passwords the easy way

A specialist track follows themes of OWASP, Digital Forensics, Systems Audit, and Public Sector each led by an acknowledged subject matter expert. A side track includes a hands-on workshop on the Maltego online research tool. Conference attendance will qualify for CPE credits (usually one credit per hour attendance).

Cost for ISSA, ISACA and OWASP members EUR100 (plus booking fee)
Cost for members of IISF, IRISS and some other professional organisations EUR125 (plus booking fee)
Cost for non-members EUR225 (plus booking fee)
    To book, go to www.issaireland.org/conference

We are happy to extend a discount to boards.ie members who are not members of the qualifying professional bodies mentioned above.
To avail of this use the following link: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/1407687431?discount=IEBOARDS - Select 'Quantity 1' for non-member and 'apply discount'.

*As always non-members looking for the best rate should consider joining ISSA at the ISSA International website www.issa.org (and then select "Join Now").* Membership of the Irish Chapter costs US$250 (about EUR175) which includes your conference ticket.

from http://www.issaireland.org/conference/ its €175 + €11.25 booking fee for members
This ticket is available to members of ISSA Ireland, ISACA, OWASP, ICS, IRISS and IISF and may be available to members of some other relevant organisations (please check with the organiser). Please provide membership details for verification. This ticket is not transferable and non refundable. Ticket applications that cannot be verified will be canceled.

but in your post (and in the PDF linked) it says €100 . Can you confirm which it is (or am I just being thick and not seeing it properly? ) as €75 is quite a difference and a lot of potential pints :)

    I see the confusion :)

I you go to book under ticket type 'member' as a member of one of those organisations you would have received a discount code from your chapter/member lead via email. The appropriate discount will then be applied and the price should reflect the discount.

Presumably there is a boards.ie security forum member discount? :)

    Hi Guys,

There is a discount code for boards.ie members in my orignal post, I've included it here: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/1407687431?discount=IEBOARDS

Just a reminder if you are a member of any of the other professional security organisations such as OWASP/ISACA/IISF etc you should have received a discount code from your chapter lead.

missed that bit. if you apply the discount code it comes off the "non-members" price.
